Instructions for New Enrollments
In order to receive a field placement for your course(s) during the Summer 2019/Fall 2019, you will need to be cleared for child protection registry, TB clearance and have a valid fingerprinted criminal background clearance (CBC). Follow the directions at these links to determine if your current criminal background check will be valid for the upcoming semester. Students in teacher education programs can log into the Office of Clinical Studies DRF in Taskstream to access information on the status of your clearances.
CRIMINAL BACKGROUND CLEARANCES:
- Completed for EMPLOYMENT purposes will NOT be sufficient
- Previously submitted criminal background clearances are only valid for two consecutive semesters/one year
- Must be completed in the State of Delaware
YOUR PROCESSED CRIMINAL BACKGROUND REPORT MUST BE IN OUR OFFICE BY THE FIRST DAY OF THE WINTER/SPRING SEMESTER IN ORDER TO RECEIVE YOUR FIELD PLACEMENT
Instructions for Fingerprinting:
Call the Delaware State Police (302-739-2528) immediately to make your appointment with the Delaware State Police Troop 2. This process can take up to 4 weeks before we receive your report. Appointments are limited and fill quickly.
